They never asked asked anybody in my NAB for their input. Don't we really matter? NO since the survey for the public and we were lumped with the public. Sadly the numbers filling out the survey was a clear message that we who feel passionate about our wards are not even really luke warm on the public engagement unless there is one development that grassroots such as the Ward 2 uproar that got attention. The lack of news coverage of this shows I guess how those serve in the office can get coverage but if you are on the NABs or other boards not much love. I try to have an open mind and be fair as we hear things. But its hard to get messages out to the public if we are to feel that we don't have value as we are giving our time freely.
I know, it's incredibly frustrating when you don't feel that you're being consulted or heard. Changing the scope of the NABs while they're not even meeting is incomprehensible to me. Please be sure to write to the City Councilmembers and City Manager with your concerns about this!
soon to be called Wood Rodgers Planning Board since they seem to be the ones with most of the planning. I did recall we would be used if something was new to come in our ward to give input before it get on the agenda of the planning commission being told that or in regular City Council Mtgs. No disrespect or shade to Wood Rogers its just the name I remember.
Reno is lucky to have you paying such close attention. So many cities, including our beloved and broken Los Angeles, have been captured by bureaucrats who seek to unleash their fringe urban planning schemes in the dark. Hope you can get your city back!
