Citizen Guide

Helpful resources and links for anyone hoping to become more informed and engaged in issues related to urban development (& more) in Reno, Nevada.

Track Upcoming City of Reno Meetings

This City webpage includes posted agendas and information packets for upcoming city meetings of all types (City Council, Planning Commission, Boards and Commissions) as well as archived agendas and packets from previous meetings. You can view the full City calendar, which includes meetings and special events, here.

To contribute comments on any public meeting, consult the the top of the posted agenda. There you’ll find directions on how to view the meeting (in person, virtually and/or a hybrid of the two) as well as information on how to submit comments in person and/or via live stream, email, or phone. This information varies by public body, so be sure to consult the agenda for the meeting that interests you.

Get to know your ward.

The City of Reno has now transitioned from five to six city wards, eliminating the position of an “at-large” Councilmember. This interactive webpage shows the old five-ward map and new six-ward map alongside each other, allowing citizens to compare their previous ward assignment to the new one. You can view the boundaries for the new six wards here.

You can find information on your ward’s Neighborhood Advisory Board and see the calendar of upcoming NAB meetings here.
