It’s so disheartening to read how Jacob’s Entertainment skirts around between right and wrong. But what’s worse, is that it seems that each time Jacob’s is on the agenda, it’s pushed thru with no real questions.
If the DA is thrown out by the courts, then what? The city starts over with Jacob’s and does things the right way?
The Reno Sparks Tenants Union is attending the Nov. 15 council meeting with scripted talking points for anyone that is interested. They are meeting at City Hall at 9:45 am. The hearing starts at 10. See you there.
I recall a council meeting when the Development Agreement was up for vote and part of Schieve’s comments were “… I have to believe he is a good guy…” referring to Jacobs. I was watching remotely and literally was screaming NO YOU DON’T. Ms. Schieve has good of intentions but is sorely out of her league in dealing with something like this. I get the impression she thinks Gordon Garrett is her “friend”. I imagine this whole situation will be a huge public relations fiasco. Jacobs has parked a huge chunk of money in wonderfully low tax Nevada and done what is minimally required.
why have I not read a thing, anywhere, that Schieve's bestie, Jessica is dating Jacob's head honcho? To me this is a conflict of interest, but maybe not in the interest of public disclosure?
